Organizations We Support

Community on Purpose provides volunteers and spearheads fundraising efforts for organizations supporting youth and families in our community. Some of our favorite organizations to support are below. If you are an organization whose mission it is to support youth and families in our community and are looking to partner on a project or need in the future, please contact us!

ICAN

ICAN is a free, out-of-school time program that serves East Valley youth. Since its founding in 1991, ICAN has remained dedicated to its mission to provide free, comprehensive programs that empower youth to be productive, self-confident, and responsible members of the community. ICAN’s goal is to break the cycle of poverty, creating a new pathway for youth to achieve future success.

House of Refuge

House of Refuge provides safe, stable housing to families who are experiencing homelessness. House of Refuge’s professional staff work with families on regaining dignity, healing from trauma, finding employment, and ultimately obtaining permanent housing.

Clothes Cabin

Clothes Cabin provides clothing relief to those who cannot afford to buy the clothes they need. The organization holds extremely high standards of quality for the clothing and the facility from which it operates, demonstrating respect for the clients. Their current facility offers an expanded selection of clothing, increased ability to serve more clients, increased storage for better inventory, a classroom for free life skills classes and an in-house laundry & shower facility for their Homeless Assistance Program.

Jacob’s Mission Community Center

ASA Now is a non-profit organization that advocates for, supports, and assists children and families impacted by foster care. They are passionate about providing support to families and professionals by restoring hope and empowering them to better serve these children in need. Jacob’s Mission Community Center is the home to ASA Now operations providing the community with a food and clothing bank, classrooms, tutoring and mentorship programs, birthday and holiday celebrations, emergency assistance and family placement resources, and more!

Community Grant Application

In addition to supporting women and families through partnerships with existing organizations, Community on Purpose seeks to support those in need in our community through direct giving. If you know of someone in need in our community, please fill out the request for a community grant below and we’ll review the request with our board for approval. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis and we do our best to support as many of the applicants as possible in the shortest amount of time.
